Nutrigenetics, Nutrigenomics and Personalized nutrition

The traditional "one-size-fits-all" approach to nutrition is becoming outdated, replaced by personalized, gene-based nutritional plans. Individual genetic makeup determines how our bodies respond to nutrients and food, suggesting the need for tailored nutrition to promote health and prevent diseases.

This course introduces the concept of genetic variant-based dietary interventions, exploring gene-diet interactions and the impact of nutrients on health through genomic, epigenomic, and metagenomic mechanisms. It provides a comprehensive understanding of how genetic variations influence dietary needs and how nutrients affect gene expression.
